(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of November 9, Ngo Quyen District People's Committee organized a conference to implement the Resolutions of the District Party Committee and District People's Council on socio-economic development tasks and launching emulation in 2020.

In 2019, under the leadership and direction of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and District People's Committee; With the efforts, creativity, innovation and determination of all levels, branches, localities and people in the area, the district's socio-economic situation continues to have positive changes. 15/15 major socio-economic targets have been completed. Some targets exceeded the set plan, completing 3 key tasks and 16 specific tasks in the year's work program.
The economy has a decent growth rate, the investment and business environment continues to improve. State budget revenue basically meets estimates and increases over the same period. Some revenues achieved high results such as land rent collection reaching 116% of the estimate, land use fee collection reaching 144% of the estimate.
Urban management, land management, and environmental protection are changing; progress of site clearance for some key projects of the city such as the project at 4 Tran Phu; Renovate and build old apartments basically according to instructions.
Socio-cultural fields receive investment attention and achieve many important results. Social security work and policies for the poor and people with meritorious services are carefully and promptly implemented. Education and training remains at the top of the city. Disease prevention, people's health care, and food safety assurance have been directed and achieved many results...
The blocs sign a contract to compete in 2020
In 2020, Ngo Quyen district is determined to continue to effectively implement the city's annual theme "Strengthening discipline in budget revenue and expenditure - Promoting improvement of the business investment environment", striving to achieve the highest level of set goals and targets. Specifically, the district strives to increase budget revenue in the area by 10% or more compared to 2019 results; Industrial and service production value increased from 4 to 13%; creating jobs for over 6,000 workers; reducing the poverty rate to 0.17%... Along with that, the district focuses heavily on planning, urban and land management, and site clearance for projects in the area; Maintain sidewalk order and traffic safety. Strictly implement public order and discipline; keep pushingadministrative reform, building "electronic government of Ngo Quyen district"; Pay attention to supporting business development... In particular, the district promotes emulation movements to create achievements to welcome Party Congresses at all levels.
At the conference, representatives of units and emulation blocks in the district responded and signed an emulation contract in 2020. Ngo Quyen district leaders awarded certificates of merit to 11 individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in carrying out tasks in 2019.
