(Haiphong.gov.vn) – Agricultural extension activities in recent years have focused on organizing and effectively implementing agricultural development tasks, contributing to transforming the growth model along the chain of production and consumption of products, applying technical advances and new technologies, creating large-scale products in the direction of commodity production, increasing value and economic efficiency.
Agricultural extension activities regularly follow the local area, transfer technical advances, contribute to accelerating the process of restructuring crops and livestock, and encourage farmers to apply technical advances in agricultural and aquaculture production. Effectively transfer research results, technical advances, and new production methods applied to production; Build a number of highly effective concentrated commodity production areas; Initially, typical farmers have been formed in receiving and implementing technical advances, and are typical examples for other farmers to learn and follow...
Besides the results achieved, agricultural extension work still has some limitations and shortcomings: Agricultural extension programs and models are still scattered and small. Replicating the results of successful pilot models into mass production has not met the diverse needs of farmer groups. New agricultural extension activities focus on building models to transfer technical advances, there are not many integrated models, linking production along the value chain associated with product consumption, organizing production management, market promotion... To overcome the above shortcomings, the City People's Committee has just issued Decisionh No. 3044/QD-UBND dated December 6, 2019 on approving the Hai Phong City Agricultural Extension Program for the period 2020 - 2024. In this Decision, the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside, and together with the Department of Finance, based on the approved Program, organize and implement it.
This decision takes effect from the date of signing.
