Launching the Contest "Application of information technology in organizing association activities" and the Contest "Composing songs praising Vietnamese women and mothers"

– On the afternoon of January 5, the Vietnam Women's Union (Women's Union) held a launching ceremony for the 2024 theme "Strengthening the application of information technology in association activities", the contest "Application of information technology in organizing association activities", the contest "Composing songs praising Vietnamese women and mothers".

The program is organized in person at the Central Association and online to demand points in provinces and cities nationwide. At the bridge point in Hai Phong city, leaders of the city's Women's Union and related units attended the Launching Ceremony.

In order to concretize the breakthrough "Innovating the Association's operating methods, focusing on information application" and the 2024 theme "Promoting the application of information technology in Association activities", the Central Vietnam Women's Union organized the Contest "Application of information technology in organizing Association activities" in 2024.

The contest is organized to improve awareness and skills of Association officials at all levels on applying information technology in organizing member activities at branches and Association organizations; Promote the creativity of Association officials at all levels and mobilize the active participation of members in innovating forms of organizing activities. Through the Contest, we can find good, creative, and easy-to-apply solutions to disseminate and replicate nationwide to improve and enhance quality and create attractiveness in the way of organizing member activities.

Contest content is information technology application products/solutions to promote improvement of the quality of members' activities, including: application of software, digital tools, digital platforms... to design content and forms of organizing activities at branches and women's groups. Information technology application products/solutions are applied in the organization of branches and Association activities in the form of thematic activities with activity topics belonging to the Association's work tasks (disseminating and propagating guidelines and policies of the Party, State and law, local political tasks; implementing emulation movements, campaigns, traditional educational activities; solutions to solve urgent problems of women and children...).

Contest participants are Association officers and members (including honorary members) who register to participate in the contest as a group or as an individual. The contest takes place at the provincial and city level in online form (via email, google form, web form or other digital platform) depending on the conditions and capabilities of the province/city, Association and unit. Each province, city, and Union unit will evaluate and select from 03 to 05 best products to send to the National Contest Organizing Committee (Central Vietnam Women's Union) before April 15, 2024.

At the program, the Central Vietnam Women's Union launched a Song Writing Contest about Vietnamese women and mothers for professional and non-professional musicians who are Vietnamese people living and working at home and abroad (both foreigners living and working in Vietnam are encouraged); There are no restrictions on age or occupation, and must be the author of musical works that meet the Contest's criteria; Encourage young authors, music and art school students, and people working in the arts field to participate. Songs need to be newly composed in traditional and modern music styles, encouraging works of young and modern music to reach young people.

The songs praise the feelings of Vietnamese women and mothers for their families, homeland, and country; traditional qualities (heroic, indomitable, loyal, courageous), new-age qualities (confidence, self-respect, knowledge, health, ethics, responsibility); love, kindness, responsibility to oneself, family and country. Especially praising the qualities of modern Vietnamese women and mothers (smart, agile, flexible, good skills); full of bravery in all areas of life, actively contributing to the development of the community, society and country; Dynamic thinking, sensitive to new things but still preserving tradition, still fulfilling the role and doing well the vocation of a mother.

The songs also praise the contributions of women and mothers in life, work, care, nurturing and education of children, contributing to cultivating family values (focusing on the parenting education content of Project 938). Especially praise and honor mothers with their tolerance, sharing, and sense of responsibility towards social issues, especially in the post-COVID - 19 era (Godmothers take care of orphans).

Contest entries should be sent to the Organizing Committee from now until July 31, 2024 via email: sangtaccakhuc2024@gmail.com, or at the address: Family - Society Committee of the Central Vietnam Women's Union, (39 Hang Chuoi, Pham Dinh Ho Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi... The summary and awarding program is expected to take place on the occasion October 20, 2024.
