(Haiphong.gov.vn) – The Chairman of the City People's Committee has just issued Directive No. 18/CT-UBND dated August 5, 2021 on main tasks and solutions to promote economic growth, disbursement of public investment capital and sustainable exports in the last months of 2021 and early 2022.
Accordingly, the city strives to complete the goals and targets in Resolution No. 01-NQ/TU dated December 1, 2020 of the City Party Committee on goals, tasks, and solutions in 2021; Drastically prevent, quickly detect, ready and proactively prevent and respond to the COVID-19 epidemic according to the motto "fighting the epidemic is like fighting the enemy". Proactively monitor and properly assess the situation to have specific, appropriate and timely solutions and countermeasures for each industry and field; strive to achieve the highest socio-economic development goals and tasks. Strive for the disbursement rate of public investment capital in 2021 to reach 100% of the plan.
In the Directive, the People's Committee sets out a number of key tasks and solutions: Synchronously and effectively deploy measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, protect people's health, and restore and develop socio-economic conditions in the new normal state. Maintain stability and promote economic development, strive to achieve the highest goals and targets of the 2021 plan, create favorable conditions for completing the socio-economic development tasks of 5 years 2021 - 2025.

Promote administrative reform with new, creative, practical and effective ways; promote comprehensive digital transformation, develop the digital economy, and form competitive digital technology enterprises. Drastically accelerate implementation progress and disbursement of public investment capital; Focus on removing difficulties and obstacles in mechanisms and policies, on the principle that whichever level issues it, that level must remove it. In case of exceeding authority, report to the direct superior, especially for large and key projects. Resolutely and promptly handle organizations, individuals, leaders, officials and civil servants who violate the law and intentionally obstruct, cause difficulties, and slow down the progress of delivery, implementation and disbursement of public investment capital plans.
