(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On June 14, Vingroup will officially inaugurate the Vinfast Automobile Manufacturing Factory on Cat Hai island (Cat Hai district) with the world's leading scale and modernity, built to meet the 4.0 technology trend; The design capacity of phase 1 is 250,000 vehicles/year, phase 2 is 500,000 vehicles/year, production speed is 38 vehicles/hour.
The production process at this factory is completely synchronized and closed with 6 workshops: stamping workshop, body welding workshop, paint workshop, engine workshop, auxiliary workshop and assembly workshop, which are continuously connected and automated with thousands of robots and smart production operating systems provided by Siemens and SAP.
In addition to possessing the world's leading closed and highly automated production cycle and the first in Vietnam, VinFast Automobile Factory also masters all core stages, capable of self-producing the main components of a car. Specifically, VinFast is the only facility in Vietnam with the capacity to stamp large panels (more than 20 basic panels for each vehicle) and has the ability to process and produce engines on site, according to high European standards.
In particular, since officially opening for sale, VinFast has received more than 10,000 car orders and will organize the handover of the first cars - VinFast Fadil to customers who make deposits as early as June 17, 2019. This will be the largest vehicle handover ceremony in Vietnam ever, combined with a test drive program.
According to the plan, the Lux A2.0 and Lux SA2.0 car models will begin to be handed over to customers by VinFast at the end of July.
