From June 24 to 26, 2018, at the Gallagher Exhibition Center, Johannesburg, South Africa, a series of major trade promotion events will take place, including the 25th South Africa International Trade Fair (SAITEX 2018); Africa's leading fair for food and beverages (Africa's Big 7); Hotel Show Africa exhibition (the Hotel Show Africa).

General introduction:
With the goal of creating the shortest and most effective path connecting sellers and buyers, SAITEX South Africa International Trade Fair has had 24 years of success, is the largest event in supplying goods, promoting products, and is a real opportunity for businesses to meet and exchange information about capacity, services, and products with partners around the world and especially potential African customers.
The 24th SAITEX held in 2017 recorded more than 320 companies participating in a series of exhibitions, from 26 countries, attracting 5,740 visitors during the 3-day event, along with 18 specialized seminars held, with 132 delegates attending from 12 countries, with many specific results and transactions successfully implemented.
In 2017, the Vietnamese delegation with 9 businesses organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade had a booth at the Fair and participated in other seminars and forums.
Like previous fairs, Vietnam's booth, with many strong products such as agricultural products, food, household appliances, textiles, construction materials... has always attracted a large number of visitors, including about 200 importers in South Africa and other countries in the region who came to learn about Vietnam's quality, prices, and export procedures.
The delegation also attended 2 direct business connection workshops B-2-B in City. Johannesburg and Cape Town, attracting the participation of many large and reputable businesses in South Africa.
The 25th SAITEX Fair in June 2018 sets clear and specific goals:

Africa is the region with the fastest economic growth in the world, with a population of over 1 billion people, of which about 350 million people have middle-income income. Retail revenue in Africa currently reaches about 800 billion USD, of which South Africa alone reaches 50 billion USD with an average growth rate of 4%/year.
The South African market in particular and African countries in general are very potential for Vietnam's multi-industry products. More and more successful transactions are appearing between Vietnamese businesses and African partners. However, information and opportunities for field surveys with Vietnamese businesses in this market are still limited.
