The production process at the factory is completely synchronized and closed with 6 workshops: stamping workshop, body welding workshop, paint workshop, engine workshop, auxiliary workshop and assembly workshop, which are continuously connected and automated with thousands of robots, and smart production operating systems provided by Siemens and SAP.
In addition to owning the world's leading closed and highly automated production cycle and the first in Vietnam - VinFast automobile factory also masters all core stages, capable of self-producing the main components of a car. Specifically, VinFast is the only facility in Vietnam with the capacity to self-stamping large panels (more than 20 basic panels for each vehicle), and has the ability to process and produce engines on site, according to high European standards.
By exceeding schedule by 3 months, VinFast has established a new miracle in the world auto industry. For the first time, a car factory completed factory construction, installed production lines, operated smoothly and went into production in just 21 months. Previously, VinFast also set world records for progress when within 12 months it inaugurated an electric motorbike factory and successfully developed 3 car models.
In particular, since officially opening for sale until now, VinFast has received more than 10,000 car orders and will organize the handover of the first cars - VinFast Fadil to customers who make deposits as early as June 17, 2019. This will be the largest vehicle handover ceremony in Vietnam ever, combined with a test drive program. According to the plan, the Lux A2.0 and Lux SA2.0 car models will begin to be handed over to customers by VinFast at the end of July.
The inauguration event of VinFast Automobile Manufacturing Factory is not only an event of a business but a historical turning point of the Vietnamese auto industry, marking a new milestone showing that the Vietnamese auto industry has stepped up a new level: Production (30 years of only processing and assembly). Instead of participating in the value chain of foreign brands, for the first time, with VinFast - Vietnam is the owner of the global value chain. Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Le Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council emphasized that this is an event of historical significance in the cause of industrialization and modernization of Hai Phong city, an important milestone of the Vietnamese automobile industry. Construction started on National Day September 2, 2017. Up to now, after 21 months of implementation with a huge amount of work from production, design, site clearance to construction, equipment installation, and completion of product design, the VinFast Automobile Manufacturing Factory Project with a total investment of nearly 5 billion USD has been officially inaugurated and put into mass production. This day will go down in the history of the industryVietnam Automobile Association, as an important milestone recognizing the beginning of an automobile manufacturing factory with the most advanced technology and equipment, invested by Vietnamese enterprises and producing modern, world-class automobile products, bringing Vietnam's automobile industry on par with the world's automobile powers.
With a very urgent construction schedule, the inauguration event of VinFast Automobile Manufacturing Factory recorded a new record, becoming a miracle in the history of construction and development of the world automobile industry as well as in the cause of industrialization and modernization of Hai Phong city.

He emphasized that the inauguration and operation of the Factory will contribute to creating new resources and conditions on the road to building and developing the city. City people will have more job opportunities in a modern technology environment, with up to 25,000 people in the expansion phase. The city's industry will have conditions to develop supporting industries and services to serve the Factory. The city budget will have a new, groundbreaking source of revenue to serve the needs of development investment and implementation of social security policies. The city's GIDP contribution to the nation's GIDP growth will increase strongly in the coming period. According to the plan, in 2019, VinFast will submit the budgeth is about over 6,000 billion VND, and will increase each year. It is expected that in 2020 it will be 11,500 billion VND and in the period from 2021 to 2025 it will exceed 25,000 billion VND, equivalent to the city's domestic revenue in the current period.

The Prime Minister said that although the factory was completed in 650 days, the ideas for a Vietnamese automobile factory and the development of the Vietnamese automobile industry were certainly conceived and cherished very early, a gathering and convergence of big ideas, shared dreams, aspirations, patriotism and the right desire to get rich for a prosperous country.
Inaugurating a factory is not the inauguration of a simple factory but the beginning of ideas, plans, the realization of dreams, the beginning of long journeys in the future. VinFast has achieved giant things because it dared to seek out and stand on the shoulders of giants. The success of VinFast is important to the economy, as we know that Vingroup's current asset scale is over 314 trillion VND, 2018 revenue reached more than 120,000 billion VND, pre-tax profit is 14,000 billion VND. In 2018, Vingroup's revenue and profit were much larger than the GDP of most provinces and cities in Vietnam. VinFast plans to produce up to 500,000 cars/year by 2025. If consumption output reaches this capacity, Vingroup's revenue will increase by hundreds of trillions of dong. The impact on the economy will not be small. This year in Hai Phong alone, revenue from VinFast is 8,000 billion VND and in 2020, revenue is over 15,000 billion VND. Vietnam must master design, master core technology, master commercial products. If it does not master these important steps, it will simply be an assembly company.
