After examining the actual production process of artificial gypsum at Dinh Vu Gypsum Factory and working with leaders of 2 businesses, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone, acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of businesses in producing and trading DAP fertilizer and treating gypsum waste. According to comrade Le Trung Kien, the waste treatment direction implemented by businesses over the years is appropriate. However, the amount of waste is still quite large. Meanwhile, this is a dynamic economic development area; is a large and important gateway to the city. Therefore, we need to join hands to solve the problem urgently and reduce the amount of waste. With its functions and tasks, the Economic Zone Management Board will directlyp stepped in, continued to support and create conditions to speed up the processing process. Comrade Le Trung Kien requested the two businesses and the Economic Zone Management Board to establish a working group, review the work done, and propose further solutions to report to the City People's Committee. Comrade Le Trung Kien noted that the two businesses need to continue to research, invest, and improve the quality of artificial plaster to meet the requirements of cement factories; have effective solutions to quickly increase consumption output. Along with that, urgently coordinate with the Ministry of Construction, shorten the time, and soon complete research and experiments to process waste into leveling materials. Comrade Le Trung Kien requested the two businesses to further strengthen communication work, create consensus and accelerateh progress in resolving gypsum waste, ensuring sustainable production goals, practical environmental protection.
According to the leaders of DAP-Vinachem Joint Stock Company, in 12 years of operation, there was only 1 year of loss due to a sharp decrease in fertilizer prices on the market, the rest were effective; creating jobs and stable income for 630 workers. In the first 11 months of 2021, DAP fertilizer production output reached 142% and consumption output reached 124%. By the end of the third quarter, the company achieved a profit of 158 billion VND, equal to 232% of the yearly plan; The average income of workers is 11.4 million VND/month.
Along with promoting production and business, DAP-Vinachem Joint Stock Company coordinates closely with Dinh Vu Gypsum Joint Stock Company to treat gypsum waste by producing gypsum as a cement additive. After a period of quite struggling consumption, from March 2021 until now, gypsum consumption has increased sharply, reaching 30,000-35,000 tons/month, supplying 28 domestic cement production enterprises. At the same time, DAP-Vinachem coordinated with the Institute of Construction Materials to research the use of waste residue as leveling material. However, the current output of gypsum waste is still large, up to more than 3 million tons. Therefore, the two businesses requested the Government, ministries and branches to support policy mechanisms to increase consumption of artificial plaster; proposed that the People's Committee of WardWe advise the Ministry of Construction to soon issue standards, regulations or documents guiding the use of gypsum waste as ground leveling material, thereby having enough legal basis for units to use./.
