(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of June 25, at the Hai Phong International Exhibition Center, the opening ceremony of the Thai Product Week 2020 was held by the Department of International Trade Promotion (Thai Ministry of Commerce), the Trade Office of the Thai Embassy in Hanoi in coordination with the Advertising and Trade Fair Company (Vinexad).
In attendance, on the side of Hai Phong city, were comrade Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the city People's Committee; leaders of city departments, branches and branches. On the Thai side, there was Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand in Vietnam.

Thailand Product Week 2020 in Hai Phong takes place from June 25 to June 28 (from 9am to 9pm) with the purpose of introducing quality Thai products to Hai Phong consumers. Thai Product Week 2020 has the presence of over 40 Vietnamese companies that are official importers of Thai products into Vietnam, with 67 booths displaying and selling diverse products from food, fresh fruit and beverages, household appliances, textiles, jewelry, beauty care products, decorations and souvenirs and other products imported with good quality. In particular, Thai Product Week 2020 also has a number of special activities such as: tasting Thai food prepared at some restaurants in the chain.restaurant system that won the Thai Select title in Vietnam and Thai dance performances.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Thanh welcomed the initiative and cooperation of the Department of Trade Promotion (Ministry of Commerce of Thailand) and related units to organize Thai Product Week in Hai Phong. He emphasized that the 2020 Thai Product Week in Hai Phong is important in strengthening and expanding trade relations between Thailand and Vietnam in general and with Hai Phong city in particular, and restarting trade activities after the COVID-19 pandemic. Thai Product Week in Hai Phong 2020 is a good opportunity for investors and businesses in Hai Phong city to meet, exchange experiences, expand cooperative relationships to promote and increasetwo-way import-export turnover between Vietnam and Thailand.
