Comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the City Party Standing Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board chaired the Conference. Attending the Conference were representatives of Cat Hai district leaders, relevant departments and branches, infrastructure enterprises, secondary enterprises, meal service providers, and industrial parks in the city.

Implementing the orientation of making Cat Ba become a national and international eco-tourism center, preparing the necessary conditions for UNESCO to recognize Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba archipelago as a World Natural Heritage in 2022, on August 12, 2021, the City People's Council unanimously approved a project to support the dismantling of aquaculture facilities on bays in the Cat Ba archipelago, Cat Hai district.
Cat Hai district People's Committee has coordinated with relevant departments and branches to develop a project to dismantle aquaculture facilities on the bays of the Cat Ba archipelago. Accordingly, 440 aquaculture facilities with 516 huts, 8,216 cages, and 58,790m² of mollusk farming platforms will be dismantled to create landscape for the bays of Cat Ba archipelago, attract tourists and gradually build Cat Ba Archipelago into a world natural heritage.
To well implement the contents of the Project to dismantle aquaculture facilities on the bays of the Cat Ba archipelago; At the same time, remove difficulties for farming households and obstacles during the implementation process. The District People's Committee has requested the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone to call for the cooperation of businesses, factories, organizations and individuals doing business in the field of seafood processing in industrial parks and industrial clusters inside and outside Hai Phong city to purchase and purchase aquatic products from dismantled rafts to reduce difficulties for people in the process of implementing State policies.
Representatives of businesses all agreed and were ready to support and support product consumption during the process of dismantling aquaculture facilities on the bays of the Cat Ba archipelago to soon turn Cat Ba into a national and international eco-tourism center. Businesses commit to doing their best to support product consumption and also improve the welfare of employees at the business.

At the Conference, the Economic Zone Management Board - Cat Hai District People's Committee - representatives of businesses signed a memorandum of understanding on supporting product consumption in the process of dismantling aquaculture on the bays of the Cat Ba archipelago. Accordingly, Cat Hai District People's Committee is the contact point, connection, and responsible for managing and supervising the implementation of purchase and sale contracts between businesses and aquaculture facilities (on quality, volume, price, delivery...).
Based on production and business plans, business needs and actual product market, businesses will notify product purchasing plans to the People's Committee of Cat Hai district. The memorandum of understanding was signed in the spirit of voluntariness, equality and mutual benefit. The parties will decide on the content, price, volume, progress and form of product purchase and sale. The responsibilities and rights of each party will be specified in a separate contract. This memorandum of understanding is used as a basis for cooperation between the parties.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, thanked businesses in the industrial park and economic zone for their interest, help, and sharing with the authorities and people of Cat Hai district in consuming products during the process of dismantling aquaculture facilities on the bays of the Cat Ba archipelago. He requested the People's Committee of Cat Hai district and businesses to properly implement the memorandum of understanding signed at today's Conference and requested the People's Committee of Cat Hai district to publicly inform the products and unit prices to businesses, and have plans to support businesses when consuming products such as preservation, transportation, and delivery.
Comrade Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board also requested infrastructure businesses, secondary businesses and businesses signed today to continue spreading this meaningful work to other businesses to maximize product consumption to support fishermen and also support the city in implementing work for UNESCO to recognize Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba archipelago as a World Natural Heritage in 2022.
