The RoRo ship JASA MURNI V.1A docked at Hai Phong Port at a time when the COVID-19 epidemic was having complicated developments in the world, but unlike conventional cargo ships, loading and unloading goods on the ship required a large number of workers to drive on board to move cars to the yard. Therefore, the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic is very important to ensure safety and prevent the spread of the disease during the transportation, loading and unloading of goods.
Before proceeding with loading and unloading, Hai Phong Port holds meetings with shipping lines, plans operations, clearly assigns tasks, ensures safe loading and unloading of goods, and disease prevention and control. At the same time, report to the City Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control to deploy testing for staff on the ship. After receiving negative RT-PCR test results for all crew members on the ship, Hai Phong Port will proceed with operations as planned. Accordingly, all participating forces strictly comply with epidemic prevention and control regulations, including: wearing masks, labor protection equipment, measuring body temperature before boarding, keeping distance, avoiding contact with crew members... By 3:30 a.m. on August 30, 2021, all nearly 898 cars were brought from the ship to the yard as planned. At 8:25 a.m. on August 30, the RoRo ship JASA MURNI V.1A left the Port and continued its journey.

Determining that the seaport is a working environment with many potential risks of COVID-19 infection, Hai Phong Port thoroughly and seriously implements disease prevention and control solutions. Currently, Hai Phong Port still maintains a safe working environment, ensuring the goods supply chain is not broken, contributing to the city's dual goal of "both disease prevention and control and economic development"./.
