(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of June 18, comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, chaired the signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation between businesses in the Economic Zone and Industrial Park with Universities, Colleges, and Intermediate Schools in Hai Phong city.

The signing of cooperation between FDI enterprises and educational and training institutions, under the leadership of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, has laid the foundation to promote the strategy of training high-quality human resources in Hai Phong, focusing on the actual needs of businesses and the labor supply of Universities, Colleges and Intermediate Schools in the city.
Hai Phong currently has more than 110 thousand workers working in Economic Zones and Industrial Parks. According to development requirements by 2025, the city needs more than 300 thousand highly skilled workers with good foreign language skills to supply Economic Zones and Industrial Parks. To do so, early training and training in the right field is very important. Enterprises will have an abundant labor source with good foreign language skills and technical expertise, without having to recruit elsewhere or train from the beginning or retrain. The city will create jobs for hundreds of thousands of workers, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development.
Cooperative signing units
After the signing ceremony, the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will develop policy mechanisms to support the development of education and training, stream students right from all levels, and increase support for schools in terms of expertise, curriculum, and enrollment. FDI enterprises will support in the form of sponsoring pilot teaching programs in foreign languages such as Korean, Japanese, and Chinese right at all educational levels. The Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board will propose to the city policies for training human resources of quality engineers and workers.
