Cat Hai District: Proposing the category "Cat Ba Honey" in the project to manage, exploit and develop the brand in the city for the period 2021-2030

The People's Committee of Cat Hai district has just issued a report requesting the City Department of Science and Technology to synthesize and propose the City People's Committee to include the list "Cat Ba Honey" in the Project: Managing, exploiting and developing brands with key products, specialty products, and craft villages that have been protected as collective brands and certified brands in the city in the period 2021-2030.

The product “Cat Ba Honey” was awarded the Certificate of Trademark Registration for “Cat Ba Xanh” by the Department of Intellectual Property in 2020. Currently, the beekeeping area in the district includes 7 communes and towns on Cat Ba island, with 195 farming households/290 workers. The average annual honey output in the entire district is about 10 thousand liters (in 2020, the output is estimated at 9,763 liters). Revenue from this product throughout the district is estimated at about 4.4 billion VND, actively supporting the work of improving people's living income, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.

Collective trademarks and certification marks in the city in the period 2021-2030 will help add value to the key product "Cat Ba Honey" of Cat Hai district and develop the brand and enhance value. products and efficiency of production, business and rural economic development in the district./.
