Conference to deploy the 2018 plan and award 2017 awards of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Planning and Investment

Attending the Conference were members of the Executive Committee, members of the Ministry's Trade Union Inspection Committee, agency Youth Union and representatives of the Trade Union Executive Committee of units under the Ministry.

At the Conference, comrade Vu Thi Xuan Hanh, Vice President in charge of the Ministry's Trade Union, presented the draft 2018 Work Plan of the Ministry of Planning and Investment's Trade Union. In 2018, the Ministry of Trade Unions continued to pay attention and encourage trade union members to successfully complete their assigned tasks. Focus on propagating the Party's policies and guidelines to trade union members, with a focus on implementing the Party's Resolutions and the Action Program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Continue to innovate the content and form of political and ideological education, information and propaganda of the Party's policies and guidelines, and the State's legal policies for trade union members. Organize propaganda activities on major holidays of the country. Organize propaganda and thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 5th Congress of the Vietnam Public Employees' Union and the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union. Regarding cultural work, the Trade Union Ministry organizes cultural and sports activities to enhance the spiritual life of trade union members and celebrate the country's major holidays. Enhance sports and cultural exchanges with units and localities, and participate in sports tournaments organized by the Vietnam Public Employees' Union, Emulation Block 1 - Vietnam Public Employees' Union and Emulation Blocks of ministries and branches.

Regarding charitable social work, the Ministry's Trade Union launched a movement to mobilize union members to donate 1-2 days' salary to support social and charity funds, visit families of war invalids and martyrs, and build houses of gratitude for policy families. Supporting charitable social funds through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Public Employees' Union. Visit and give gifts to centers that nurture wounded and sick soldiers and support people when there are natural disasters. Organize voluntary blood donation activities for the community.

Regarding women's work, the Ministry's Trade Union launched, urged the implementation, and summarized the emulation movement "Good at country work, good at home". Organize activities to celebrate women's holidays and activities for children. Participate in activities of the Women's Club - Vietnam Public Employees' Union.

Speaking at the Conference, comrade Le Thanh Quan highly appreciated the efforts of trade union officials and members and hoped that in 2018, the activities of the Ministry's Trade Union in general and grassroots Trade Unions in particular would continue to achieve positive results, contributing to successfully completing the tasks of the Ministry of Planning and Investment. At the same time, it affirmed that the Ministry of Trade Unions continues to care for, care for, and improve the lives of trade union members. Comrade Le Thanh Quan said, the Ministry of Trade Unions will organize training courses on trade union skills and training classes for officials working in union work, contributing to building an increasingly strong trade union organization and meeting the requirements in the new situation.

Within the framework of the Conference, the Ceremony of Awarding Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Public Employees' Union to 17 collectives and 13 individuals, and Certificates of Merit from the Trade Union of the Ministry of Planning and Investment to unions under the Ministry took place./.
