(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of July 9, the Politburo and the Party Central Committee Secretariat organized a national conference to thoroughly grasp Regulation No. 144-QD/TW of the Politburo on revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period; Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo on party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

The conference was held in both live and online formats, connecting more than 15,600 bridge points with the participation of more than 1.28 million officials and party members across the country.
At the conference, delegates listened to comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, thoroughly grasping the content of Regulation No. 144-QD/TW and guiding the implementation of the regulation with 3 main contents: Reasons for the Politburo to issue Regulation 144 on revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period; new and core points of Regulation 144; Points that need attention to effectively organize and implement Regulation 144.

Comrade Head of the Central Propaganda Department affirmed: The regulations are a step to concretize Conclusion No. 21 of the Party Central Committee (term 13) on promoting the building and rectification of the Party and the political system; resolutely prevent, push back, and strictly handle cadres and party members who degrade in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and demonstrate "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"; Affirming the Central Government's special attention to the importance of building the Party on ethics with 5 articles and 19 contents, especially in the context that the Party is promoting the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity, building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be truly clean and strong so that our Party is "moral and civilized".
Regulation 144 clearly and specifically states the revolutionary ethical criteria and standards that cadres and party members need to implement to meet revolutionary requirements and tasks in the new period. The important and core thing in implementing Regulation 144 is to make each officer and party member truly deeply imbued with the regulation; make revolutionary ethics a distinctive and prominent feature in cadres and party members; become a sharp weapon, overcoming all challenges and temptations, repelling all risks of deterioration in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" internally; promote the building and strengthening of the ethical, cultural and social foundation, making Vietnamese culture and people truly become an endogenous strength, a driving force for development and protection of the country.

Also at the conference, comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee thoroughly grasped the content of Directive No. 35-CT/TW. He stated clearly: This is a very important document, clearly orienting the viewpoints, principles, goals, requirements and basic contents of preparing Party congresses at all levels so that Party committees and organizations at all levels can thoroughly grasp, lead, direct, concretize and organize implementation at their level; ensure synchronization and unity throughout the political system.
The Politburo sets out 7 requirements for the preparation and conduct of party congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term, in which the preparation and organization of the congress must be led and directed by party committees at all levels in accordance with the Party's regulations and principles; improve the quality of congress documents; Forecast the situation, clearly identify strengths, orientations and development focuses; Human resource work must ensure direct and comprehensive leadership of the Party and Party Committees at all levels and promote the roles and responsibilities of collective leaders and heads according to regulations, ensuring solidarity, high unity, and careful step by step, "everything we do is sure to get there"; There needs to be an effective screening mechanism and criteria so as not to "miss" truly virtuous and talented people...

Speaking and concluding the conference, Comrade Luong Cuong, Politburo member, Standing Committee of the Secretariat emphasized the need to implement Regulation No. 144 and Directive No. 35 seriously and effectively, creating a clear change in awareness and action throughout the Party and political system, increasing consensus in society and the people.
In particular, regarding Regulation 144, he requested that each Party Committee, Party organization, cadre, and Party member always raise awareness of the importance of regulations, firmly grasp and deeply understand the regulations; Focus on inspection and supervision of the roles and responsibilities of party cells and party committees, especially the heads of party committees in the process of thoroughly grasping and organizing the implementation of regulations; Each cadre and party member must voluntarily study, strive, cultivate, train, "self-reflect" and "self-correct" according to revolutionary ethical standards. Along with that, news agencies promote propaganda among the people, so that the people are clearly aware of the Party's political determination in the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system; fight against corruption and negativity; Build the Party and the main systemtruly pure, strong, and comprehensive governance; Actively participate in supervising the implementation of revolutionary ethical standards by cadres and party members; fight to eliminate views and behaviors that are contrary to revolutionary ethics.
For Directive 35 on party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, Standing Committee of the Secretariat Luong Cuong requested Party committees and organizations at all levels to organize well the implementation of the Directive of the Politburo, relevant regulations and instructions of the Central Committee and of the immediate superior party committees, ensuring that party members throughout the Party firmly grasp, understand, and properly and synchronously and consistently implement it from the Central to the grassroots.
