(Haiphong.gov.vn) – Responding to activities commemorating the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea (December 22, 1992 - December 22, 2022). On the afternoon of May 19, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board held a conference to meet and discuss with the Korean Association of Industrial Parks. Comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board chaired the Conference.

At the Conference, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone, was pleased to welcome Mr. Kim Jeonghwan, CEO of the Korean Association of Industrial Parks and members of the Association to visit and learn about investment cooperation opportunities in Hai Phong city. At the same time, some information about the city's location, potential advantages, and outstanding socio-economic results in recent times will be provided. He affirmed that with attractive policies, Hai Phong city has recently attracted many domestic and foreign investors to the city.

Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board said that Hai Phong city currently has 171 projects of Korean investors, with a total registered capital of about 9.56 billion USD, accounting for 42% of total FDI investment capital in the city. Particularly in the Industrial Park, Hai Phong Economic Zone currently has 102 projects of Korean investors, with a total registered capital of about 8.5 billion USD, accounting for 43.7% of the total investment capital of the entire zone, accounting for 88.9% of the total Korean investment capital throughout the city. In 2021, the total revenue of Korean enterprises in Hai Phong Industrial Park and Economic Zone will reach 13.1 billion USD; Export turnover reached 13.59 billion US dollars.
