On the morning of October 13, the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of the city organized a meeting program to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Union (October 15, 1956 - October 15, 2017), summarizing the work of the Association and the youth movement in the first 9 months of the year, implementing key tasks in the last 3 months of 2017.
At the Program, comrade Dao Phu Duong, Secretary of the Youth Union, together with delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of 61 years of construction and growth of the Vietnam Youth Union.
In the first 9 months of 2017, the Union's ministries at all levels organized many cultural, artistic, and sports activities that attracted a large number of youth union members to participate, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, cultivating and educating the moral lifestyle and good traditions of the nation, promoting patriotic emulation movements of the youth. Volunteer activities for social security and community life are actively implemented by all levels of the Association, attracting a large number of young people to participate, focusing on visiting and giving gifts to children and people in especially difficult areas and areas affected by natural disasters.
The whole city organized visits and gave over 10,000 gifts and 2,500 banh chung to young workers.Mobilizing children, young religious believers, policy families, poor households and children in difficult circumstances; Effectively deploy volunteer programs in highland areas; New construction and repair of 26 Houses of Charity, Houses of Gratitude, and Red Scarf Houses. Organized 22 free health consultation, medical examination and medicine distribution programs for 2,640 people; renovate, embellish, embellish, and clean the environment of martyrs' graves, cemetery grounds, temples, martyrs' monuments, and memorial stele with over 10,000 working days; simultaneously organized the "Candlelighting Gratitude Ceremony" and "Flower Offerings to Martyrs' Graves" at 196 cemeteries, temples, monuments, and stele memorials for martyrs across the city. Organized 26 “Voluntary Blood Donation” programs that collected 24,527 blood units; Register to undertakehelping 276 underdeveloped youth; Established 7 new clubs, maintaining 135 clubs with the participation of over 6,500 members and young people.
In the 2017 "Exam Season Support" program, we supported 10,000 water bottles, 500 shirts, hats, 10,000 hand fans, 64 kiosks, nearly 100 umbrellas, 1,500 raincoats, 3,000 Exam Season Support handbooks, and gifts for volunteers participating in the Program; Supported 108 candidates to eat and stay for free in university dormitories; 105 candidates received transportation and transportation support during the exam.
In the last three months of the year, the Vietnam Youth Union of the city directed the Association's ministries to continue organizing voluntary blood donation activities, medical examination consultations and free medicine distribution; Organize activities to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam Youth Union; Organize a discussion conference to improve the quality of solidarity and gather young religious believers in the new era; Organized the Winter 2017 Volunteer Program and the 2018 Spring Volunteer Program...
