(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of November 11, at the Department of Industry and Trade, the Hai Phong Industrial Development Support Association held its First Congress for the term (2024-2029).
In attendance were Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Van Thanh, along with more than 65 businesses operating in the city.
Delegates vote to approve the Congress program.
Hai Phong Industrial Development Support Association is a professional social organization of businesses operating in the fields of production and services serving the industrial sector in the city, with no restrictions on age or scale. Having the same purpose of cooperation, association, support, and mutual help, forming a supply chain, a complete ecosystem, providing components, semi-finished products, raw materials, and services to domestic and foreign investors specializing in assembling or manufacturing finished products.
Mr. Pham Doan Tung, Director of Top Land Industrial and Project Joint Stock Company - Chairman of the Hai Phong Industrial Development Support Association spoke.
Enterprises belonging to the Association have a diverse scale of operations, multi-industry, providing complete products, creating a complete supply chain of industrial products and services for industrial production investors in Hai Phong. The Association also supports Investors when coming to Hai Phong city to research and search for investment locations in Industrial Zones and Clusters until they go into production operation. Industrial manufacturing and service businesses in the ecosystem will include four main areas such as: consulting, construction, supporting manufacturing and support services.
Leaders of the city's Industry and Trade sector gave flowers to congratulate the Congress on its success and success.
Speaking at the Congress, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized that this is an important event for the Association in particular and for the city's Industry and Trade sector in general. The establishment of the Hai Phong Industrial Development Support Association is necessary at the present time.
According to the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, although the city's industrial development has grown recently, the speed is not high, there is no connection between domestic enterprises, between domestic and foreign enterprises to form production and supply chains to be able to fully exploit advances in technology, science and engineering. The formation of industry clusters and value chains is only spontaneous, fragmented, depends on the actual development situation of the enterprise and has no control or support from state agencies.
Leaders of the Industry and Trade sector highly appreciated and agreed with the major orientations in the first term that the Hai Phong Industrial Development Support Association has set out.
The Congress elected Mr. Pham Doan Tung, Director of Top Land Project and Industry Joint Stock Company, to hold the position of Chairman of the First Hai Phong Industrial Development Support Association, term 2024~2029; along with 04 Vice Presidents of the Association and 04 Commissioners.
Immediately after the Congress, the Association will coordinate with relevant units to organize trade and connection events to introduce products of Association members to large manufacturing factories located in Hai Phong Industrial Parks, and at the same time carry out many other activities./.
