On the afternoon of March 20, the Standing Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee worked with the Standing Committee of Da Nang City Party Committee to evaluate the situation of cooperation between the two cities in recent times; exchange and propose some cooperation contents in the future. At the meeting, leaders of the two localities discussed and evaluated the results of cooperation over the past time. Hai Phong and Da Nang are two centrally run cities, with a total population of more than 7.7 million people, contributing about 8.2% of the country's GDP, and an economic scale of over 1 million billion VND. Over the past time, the two localities have maintained coordination in many fields such as Party building, economic development, investment promotion, trade, tourism, science and technology and human resource training.
The leaders of the two localities also clarified many key cooperation contents in the coming time, focusing on developing the marine economy, logistics, and seaport infrastructure; construction and operation of free trade zones; promote digital transformation, innovation, develop high-quality human resources and strengthen regional connectivity. After directly surveying a number of works and projects, the Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee said that Hai Phong has many highly effective models and methods that Da Nang can research and learn from. Da Nang is also making efforts to promote growth, towards the goal of sustainable development, so the Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee hopes that the two localities will continue to increase exchange and closer coordination in strong areas.
Comrade Le Tien Chau, Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee, affirmed that Hai Phong always values and is ready to promote cooperation with Da Nang in a spirit of substance and effectiveness; At the same time, we proposed that the two sides soon concretize the contents of cooperation, focusing on areas with potential and advantages such as marine economic development, logistics, seaport infrastructure, free trade zones, digital transformation and high-quality human resource training.
Based on the opinions exchanged at the meeting, the Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee assigned the 2 local Party Committee Offices to be the focal point to coordinate the development of a draft cooperation program, ensuring clear content, clear responsibilities, clear roadmap, clear resources, clear results and clear coordination mechanism; At the same time, maintain an annual assessment of implementation results. After the meeting, the two localities proactively organized working groups according to each specific topic and field to effectively implement the agreed cooperation contents.
Previously, the delegation of Da Nang city conducted a field survey of a number of typical works, projects and businesses in Hai Phong city. The delegation visited the City Political - Administrative Center and the City Convention - Performance Center, learning about the modern, centralized administrative space organization model.
The delegation also surveyed the Non-Tariff Area and Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park; Visit and work at VinFast Hai Phong Production and Business Joint Stock Company; Hateco Hai Phong international container port, thereby learning about the city's industrial production capacity, logistics development and seaport infrastructure system./.
