(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of December 24, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh and leaders of departments, branches, localities and related units on the ground inspected the progress of the implementation of the Investment Project to build the Nam Binh intersection.

Up to now, the basic work volume has ensured the set progress, environmental issues, labor safety, order and traffic safety in the project construction area have been guaranteed. The city's authorities have closely coordinated with agencies and units of the Ministry of Transport to resolve related issues and ensure processes and progress.
The Standing Vice Chairman praised Hong Bang district and An Duong district for their many efforts in site clearance work, especially noting that households in So Dau ward (Hong Bang district) agreed to support and soon hand over land to serve the project.
However, due to the requirements for project implementation progress, a number of existing problems related to site clearance work need to be focused on and directed by localities to immediately overcome. The Vice Chairman requested Hong Bang district to continue to speed up the processes to soon hand over the site to the contractor; An Duong district reviews the policies and regimes applied in compensation and support for organizations and individuals. In cases where the legal mechanisms and policies have been fully applied but do not comply with the handover of the site, urgently apply the measures and procedures according to regulations to recover land. As for construction contractors, they need to coordinate closely with localities to focus on construction wherever they have a site.
The Vice Chairman also reminded that at this time the Lunar New Year is approaching so the demand for traffic through this intersection is very large, so the Project Management Board along with the contractors must do a good job of environmental sanitation and soon return the site so that people can travel through this area safely and conveniently.
Regarding the issue of capital for the project, the Vice Chairman assigned the relevant Departments and branches to base on the city's general policy as well as the progress of the project to resolve the project. In case of exceeding their authority, they must promptly report to the City People's Committee.
According to the report of the Project Management Board, up to this point, the area of land handed over for the project has reached 95.0%. For Hong Bang district, as of December 23, 2019, 35/65 households received compensation and support; During the campaign, 26 households agreed to receive money and hand over the premises, while 04 households deliberately did not comply. As for An Duong district, up to now there is only one household that has not received money and handed over the premises with an area of 1,925.6m2.
