(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of December 23, comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board inspected the progress of a number of industrial development projects in industrial parks and economic zones.
Check the Ecovance high-tech biodegradable materials factory project in Dinh Vu Industrial Park, which started construction on May 11, 2024, with a total investment of 500 million USD. The investor is Ecovance Vietnam Co., Ltd. under the Korean SK Group. This is a project to produce raw materials, biodegradable plastic products and related materials in the production of biological materials. Up to this point, the project has reached 61% progress.

USI's manufacturing factory project in Vietnam, phase 2 in Dinh Vu Industrial Park, which started construction on April 10, 2024, is in a very urgent construction phase. Currently, construction is at 80%; electricity and fire protection reached 85%; Technical infrastructure reaches 30%...construction is expected to be completed in March 2025. This is a project to manufacture and assemble electronic circuit boards, wearable devices, smart handheld devices, and civil equipment; components, circuit boards of products such as computers, computer peripherals: consumer electronic products, measurement, navigation and control applications; data communication equipment. Total investment of the entire project is 215 million USD.
Through field inspection and listening to reports, Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board Le Trung Kien acknowledged and highly appreciated the investors of the projects for their efforts to ensure progress and quality with the determination to quickly put them into operation. At the same time, he emphasized that these are meaningful projects and important roles in implementing the goal of developing high-tech industry, especially the semiconductor industry; Environmentally friendly products, of great concern to city leaders. Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board always pays attention and creates favorable conditions to implement projects. The Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board requested Investors to continue to focus heavily on human resources, resources and equipment to be able to put 02 Projects into operation this year.m 2025, practically celebrating the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day and the 17th City Party Congress.
