(Haiphong.gov.vn) - This afternoon, July 17, the City People's Committee held the inauguration of two projects: Dinh Bridge and Quang Thanh Bridge, demonstrating the results of good cooperation between Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province, contributing to perfecting the transportation system connecting interprovinces and regions, meeting many years of expectations of the people of the two provinces and cities.

These twin bridges began construction on May 16, 2020, with a total investment of nearly 700 billion VND. This is a positive result of cooperation between two localities, Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city, in the spirit of Resolution No. 45 of the Politburo on the construction and development of Hai Phong city to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Identified as the driving force for development of the Northern region and the whole country, Hai Phong invested in building Quang Thanh bridge and Dinh bridge to replace the previous Quang Thanh ferry and Dinh ferry, enhancing traffic capacity, meeting the travel needs of the people and promoting the needs of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security of the two localities. At the same time, it opens up opportunities for effective connection in regional links, promoting solidarity and close relationships between the people of Hai Phong city and the people of Hai Duong province, especially expanding Hai Phong's economic space.
