Accordingly, the Department of Standards and Quality is the owner of the certification mark "made in Cat Hai" for Cat Hai fish sauce products (according to Decision 14546/QD-SHTT and Decision 35846/QD-SHTT of the National Office of Intellectual Property). On June 16, 2023, the Director of the Department of Science and Technology issued the Regulations on management and use of the certification mark "made in Cat Hai" for fish sauce products of Cat Hai district, Hai Phong city.
The regulations regulate the management and use of the certification mark made in Cat Hai for fish sauce products of Cat Hai district to ensure quality, preserve, protect and develop long-standing traditional products associated with traditional processing methods. The regulations have received attention from departments, branches and fish sauce production and business establishments in Cat Hai district. On August 31, 2023, 7 fish sauce production facilities in Cat Hai district submitted applications for the right to use the certification mark "made in Cat Hai" for fish sauce products. The Department of Standards and Quality conducts appraisal of documents and actual appraisal of facilities as prescribed in the Regulations. As a result, 7 facilities are eligible to be granted the right to use the certification mark.

At the conference, leaders of the Department of Quality Control announced decisions and awarded certificates of rights to use the "made in Cat Hai" certification mark for 29 fish sauce products of 7 enterprises in Cat Hai district including: Quang Hai Co., Ltd., Tung Khanh Jellyfish Production and Trading Co., Ltd., Luong Hai Fish Sauce Co., Ltd., Nam Phong Hai Co., Ltd., Song Hai Seafood Co., Ltd., Seafood Processing and Services Co., Ltd. Phu Hai, Van Hai Fish Sauce Company Limited.
The certificate is valid for 5 years from the date of issue, provided that companies comply with the regulations in the Regulations on management and use of the certification mark "made in Cat Hai" for fish sauce products of Cat Hai district, Hai Phong city and other relevant legal regulations.
