The Chairman of the City People's Committee received and worked with a delegation of Chinese scholars, experts and businesses

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of April 17, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung received and worked with a delegation of Chinese scholars, experts and businesses led by Professor Dao Nhat Dao, Director of the China Special Economic Zone Research Center of Shenzhen University (China). Attending the meeting were leaders of relevant departments and branches, Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, and Hai Phong University.

Welcoming the Delegation, the Chairman of the City People's Committee introduced some information about the city's recent achievements in socio-economic development. On that basis, affirming the stability in the business investment environment as well as the interest and support of city leaders and departments for investors in Hai Phong. Currently, Vietnam and China are coordinating to implement the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project connecting the two sides.

Chairman of the City People's Committee introduced some information about the city's recent achievements in socio-economic development. 

At the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee asked Professor Dao Nhat Dao to support promoting cooperation between Hai Phong and Guangdong province (China) in fields such as: investment, trade, education, training of high-quality human resources... thereby connecting many businesses in China to survey and seek investment cooperation opportunities in the city. We especially hope that the Professor and businesses in the Working Group will promote airlines in China to open the Hai Phong - Shenzhen flight route, serving the increasing travel needs of investors in Hai Phong. In addition, research support helps Hai Phong organize training for city officials to study, research and exchange about the Free Trade Zone at Shenzhen University.

Chairman of the City People's Committee requested Professor Dao Nhat Dao and businesses in the Working Group to promote airlines in China to open the Hai Phong - Shenzhen flight route.

At the same time, businesses are recommended to join the working group to research investment in specific projects in Hai Phong. The Chairman of the City People's Committee also expressed his desire to listen to the opinions, suggestions and recommendations of Professor Dao Nhat Dao and businesses in the Working Group for the city to effectively attract Chinese investors to invest in Hai Phong, especially investors in the fields of science and technology, clean energy, cross-border trade...

Professor Dao Nhat Dao wishes to learn about the planning and policies of the new Hai Phong city.

On behalf of the delegation, Professor Dao Nhat Dao thanked the city leaders for the respectful welcome. The professor believes that after Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province merge, they will become a competitive economic complex and an attractive investment environment. Professor Dao Nhat Dao is eager to learn about the planning and policies of the new Hai Phong city, helping businesses in the Working Group find investment opportunities, especially in the fields of smart city construction and digital transformation, which are the strengths of Chinese businesses today. Professor Dao Nhat Dao respectfully invited leaders of Hai Phong city and businesses to Shenzhen city, Guangdong province to enhance understanding between the two sides.
