(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of January 21, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung received a courtesy call on Mr. Johan Ndisi, Ambassador of Sweden, who came to visit and work in Hai Phong.

Pleased to welcome Mr. Johan Ndisi, Ambassador of Sweden to visit and work in Hai Phong, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung introduced the city's socio-economic development situation, emphasizing Hai Phong's position in the Northern region, with a synchronous infrastructure system, traffic connecting the region and the world; has the largest seaport system in the North and high-speed rail projects are preparing to be implemented.
Currently, Hai Phong is actively establishing more industrial parks ready to attract new investors. The Government has also just announced the Decision to establish the Southern Coastal Economic Zone in Hai Phong with many conditions to develop more projects on airport, Nam Do Son port, Free Trade Zone, new industrial parks, industrial clusters, urban areas... The city is ready to create conditions and support Swedish businesses to survey and seek business investment and cooperation opportunities in Hai Phong.

Sincerely thanking the city leaders for their thoughtful welcome despite the busy end of the year, Mr. Johan Ndisi, Ambassador of Sweden, said that during the past 55 years, Vietnam and Sweden have continuously nurtured, strengthened and developed the bilateral relationship to become increasingly strong, deepening and achieving positive results in many fields. In that context, Hai Phong city - as one of Vietnam's largest economic, industrial and seaport centers - has made positive contributions to promoting cooperation between the two countries. In order to strengthen cooperation in all fields between Sweden and Hai Phong city, Mr. Johan Ndisi believes that after the working trip, that potential and opportunity will be concretized into cooperative projects for both sides to develop together.
