At LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Company, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, awarded the adjusted investment certificate to LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Company Limited. The company was first certified on April 15, 2016 with an initial investment capital of 1.5 billion USD, producing plastic OLED screens for mobile devices, OLED TV screens, LCD screens... Thanks to Hai Phong's continuously improved investment environment, the enterprise's production and business are increasingly efficient; The company has continuously increased investment capital and expanded the project's production scale.

Accordingly, LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Company invested an additional 1.4 billion USD, bringing the total investment capital in Hai Phong to 4.65 billion USD, becoming the project with the largest investment capital in the city. With this investment, the Company increased plastic OLED screen output from 9.6 - 10.1 million products/month to 13 - 14 million products/month. Export revenue is expected to increase by about 6.5 billion USD/year; contribute about 25 million USD to the budget, creating more jobs for 10,000 workers.
Previously, as soon as LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Company submitted its application on August 26, 2021, with the direct attention and direction of city leaders, in just 3 days, the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone focused on completing the report, appraising documents and issuing an Investment Registration Certificate for the project, creating a new record for the shortest time to resolve administrative procedures for a billion-dollar project.
