(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the occasion of the New Year of At Ty in 2025, on the afternoon of February 10, comrade Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong city visited and encouraged a number of typical businesses in Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone and Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park.

Visit, give gifts, and encourage Ecovance Vietnam Co., Ltd. (belonging to SK Group, Korea) at Dinh Vu Industrial Park. The company has invested in the ECOVANCE high-tech bio-analytical materials factory project with a total investment of 2,377 billion VND, an area of 3.2 hectares, the main products are raw materials, bio-analytical plastic products and related materials in the biological material production process. The project starts construction on November 5, 2024. Currently, the construction part has reached 90%, the mechanical, electrical and fire protection part has reached 90%, and the technical support part has reached 40%.

Currently, the Deep C2B Industrial Park project has completed the investment in construction of the entire infrastructure system of the Industrial Park and has attracted 29 secondary investment projects with a total registered investment capital of 430.71 million USD, the total land area leased is 102.35 hectares, the occupancy rate reached 100% of the project's industrial land. Secondary investment projects are all operating effectively, including a number of high-tech projects from Europe and Korea such as: TESA (Germany), ASSA BLOY (Sweden), LS Metal (Korea)... which have made positive contributions to the overall development of the city.

By 2024, Pegatron Vietnam's factory area will reach more than 275,384 m2, including 5 factory buildings and 01 administration building; In 2025, additional factories F6, F7 and conference center will be put into use, with an estimated area of 384,357 m2. In the following years, it is expected to build additional buildings F8 and F9, with an estimated area of 515,938 m2. The total number of employees of the Company is currently nearly 6,000 people. It is expected that in the near future, due to the need to expand production, the company's human resource needs will exceed 10,000 people. The company has invested in building an employee housing project to meet the accommodation needs of workers, expected to be put into use in 2025.

Currently, the total number of enterprises operating and registered to implement projects is about 94 enterprises, of which about 50% are FDI enterprises from countries such as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Italy, Netherlands... The total registered investment capital of projects in Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park is about nearly 1 billion USD. The total number of employees in the entire Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park by the end of December 2024 is 12,600 workers.
At the visiting businesses, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau emphasized that in recent years, Industrial Parks and Economic Zones in the city have become strong growth engines, making important contributions to the economic development of Hai Phong city. Infrastructure has made great strides, along with its strategic geographical location near seaports, attracting great attention and investment from domestic and foreign businesses. With the close support and direction of city leaders, investors have been constantly increasing capital, expanding production and business, creating a prosperous new look for the city.
At the same time, it was emphasized that by 2024, Hai Phong city will achieve GRDP growth of more than 11%, extending the achievement of 10 consecutive years of achieving double-digit growth. That overall result has a very positive contribution from businesses in Industrial Parks and Economic Zones. In 2025, Hai Phong strives to achieve GRDP growth of 12.5%; period 2026 - 2030 reaches 15.6% or more. This is a very high determination but also a big challenge, requiring the consensus of the whole city, especially businesses in Industrial Parks and Economic Zones.
The Secretary of the City Party Committee also highly appreciated the companies that have made many efforts in production and business in recent times, especially always paying attention and taking care of the material and spiritual life of workers, having well implemented legal policies, improving working conditions to make workers feel secure in working and expected businesses to promote the results achieved, continue to develop production and business, attract investors to Hai Phong, and create conditions for businesses to work.
