On the afternoon of October 19, the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications to organize a briefing conference and provide press information for the 43rd week of October 2017. Comrade Nguyen Huu Doan - Member of the City Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department chaired the conference. In the past two weeks, press agencies continued to have many news and articles reflecting the city's outstanding political activities, which emphasized the content of increasing budget revenue and expenditure, improving the business investment environment, and raising the administrative reform index. In the coming time, the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications request press agencies to do a better job of propagandizing about socio-economic development solutions and measures to remove difficulties, encouraging businesses and localities to well implement the 2017 theme, striving to complete socio-economic tasks and targets in the last months of the year and the whole year 2017; continue to propagate the results of the 6th Central Conference (term XII), the contents of preparation for the 4th Session, the 14th National Assembly and the 6th Session of the 15th City People's Council; Coordinate with agencies and units in the area to resolve issues reported by the press, and properly implement regulations on speaking and providing information to the press.opinions of state administrative agencies; Strengthen coordination with local press agencies to well perform state management functions on the press, speed up the implementation of the city's press planning. Also during the meeting, representatives of the leaders of Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority and Hoang Dieu Port Company Limited clarified the contents related to the incident of more than 30,000 tons of sulfur at Hoang Dieu port, causing concerns about the risk of fire and environmental pollution. Accordingly, leaders of relevant units said that this amount of sulfur was expected to stay at the port for a few days, but because an unexpected incident occurred that affected transportation, the goods were kept at the port beyond the expected time. Representatives said there were timely solutions to prevent fire and explosion and protect the environment according to regulations. Representative of Traco 1 Transport Joint Stock Company (shipper) said that in the past 3 days, the Company has transported goodsout of the port and will continue to transport the remaining sulfur out of the port and deliver it to customers in the near future.
