Report on the socio-economic situation in January 2021

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – The City People's Committee has just issued Document No. 49/BC-UBND dated February 8, 2021 Socio-economic situation in January 2021.

Accordingly, the results of implementing some major economic indicators of Hai Phong city in January 2021 are as follows:

– The index of industrial production (IIP) is estimated to increase by 32.57% over the same period.

– Total State budget revenue in the area is estimated at 7,083.9 billion VND, up 9.5% over the same period, of which:

+ Customs revenue is estimated to reach 4,000 billion VND, up 10.8% over the same period.

+ Domestic revenue is estimated at 3,083.9 billion VND, up 7.8% over the same period.

– The output of goods through the port reached 14.23 million tons, an increase of 16.39% over the same period.

– Tourists reached 515.9 thousand visitors, down 10% over the same period; Of which international visitors reached 10.2 thousand, down 84.85% over the same period.

– From the beginning of the year to January 19, 2021, the total FDI attraction in the city reached 35.45 million USD, equal to 56.23% over the same period.

Report No. 49/BC-UBND also provides information about the preparations for the Lunar New Year, the prevention of the COVID-19 epidemic and the results of implementing other key tasks of the city.

In Report No. 49/BC-UBND, the City People's Committee identified a number of key tasks in February 2021 regarding the prevention of COVID-19 epidemic; Well organize activities to welcome the Lunar New Year of Tan Suu 2021; the work of disseminating and thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the 16th City Party Congress and the Resolutions passed by the City People's Council; Propaganda work on the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2021-2026 term. In addition, the City People's Committee requested to immediately focus on a number of tasks after Tet; proactive, creative, and drastic to create changes in implementing the 2021 Theme "Promoting urban embellishment and modernization - Building model new rural areas".
