Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone, expressed his pleasure to be awarded the Investment Registration Certificate for the Investment Project on construction and business of infrastructure in Tien Thanh Industrial Park, Tien Lang district and new projects, increasing capital in Industrial Parks and Economic Zones. He said that implementing Action Program No. 76 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, by 2025, Hai Phong will focus on developing and expanding 15 new industrial parks with a total area of 6,418 hectares. Tien Thanh Industrial Park came into operation, bringing the total number of industrial parks operating in the city to 15 established industrial parks with a total natural land area of 6,074.75 hectares.

The Tien Thanh Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business investment project is located in Tien Thanh commune and Cap Tien commune, Tien Lang district, adjacent to the road connecting District Highway 25 to National Highway 10, connecting with Tien Lang Industrial Cluster, Giang Bien Industrial Cluster and Giang Bien II Industrial Park, creating a cluster of links for industrial development in the region. This is one of the city's key projects, expected to start construction in 2022, soon creating space to attract secondary investors, promoting the development of local industries and services; At the same time, it attracts 30,000 - 40,000 workers to work with an average salary of 6-9 million VND, gradually improving living conditions for local people and surrounding areas.

In the first 6 months of 2022, industrial parks and economic zones attracted 21 new FDI projects and 18 FDI projects adjusted to increase capital; Total attracted capital reached 755.75 million USD, equal to 56.2% over the same period last year; attracted 9 DI projects and 3 DI projects to increase capital, total capital attracted reached 483.24 million USD, up 47.3% over the same period last year, equal to 88.7% of the city's DI attraction. Cumulatively to date, industrial parks and economic zones have attracted 438 foreign direct investment projects with a total investment capital of 22.07 billion USD; attracting 195 domestic investment projects with a total investment capital of 12.57 billion USD.
