(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of June 11, the Department of Information and Communications chaired a conference to deploy the digital infrastructure development plan in the city for the period 2024-2025. Attending the Conference were representatives of relevant local and business leaders.

On April 26, 2024, the City People's Committee issued Plan No. 114/KH-UBND on Digital Infrastructure Development in the city for the period 2024-2025, which determined that digital infrastructure development creates motivation for rapid development of industries and fields, serving to build digital government, develop digital economy, digital society, and promote the city's comprehensive digital transformation program.

Specifically, the set targets, regarding telecommunications infrastructure, continue to improve the quality of the 4G network, gradually deploy the 5G network, and universalize broadband Internet throughout the city with 100% of villages and residential groups covered with mobile broadband with 3G and 4G technology and 50% of villages and residential groups covered with mobile broadband with 5G technology; established 300 new 5G broadcasting stations... Regarding the use of telecommunications services, 100% of mobile subscribers use smartphones; 95% of people use the internet, households have fiber optic broadband internet access... Data center and cloud computing infrastructure are used and widely applied to serve the activities of state agencies, businesses and people.
