According to leaders of the Customs Department, in Hai Phong area alone, as of 5:00 p.m. on December 31, revenue reached approximately 67,300 billion VND, an increase of 16.9% over the same period, equivalent to an increase of nearly 10 trillion VND, reaching more than 111.81% of the assigned target of the City People's Council. Regarding coordination of seaport infrastructure fee collection, it reached more than 1,382 billion VND, equal to 110% of the target.

Leaders of the City Tax Department reported that as of December 31, total domestic budget revenue in the city reached 50,068 billion VND, ranking 3rd nationwide after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi and equal to 133.2% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government, equal to 111.2% of the target assigned by the City People's Council; 17/18 targets met and exceeded estimates; 1/18 targets that did not complete the estimate were revenue from the central state-owned enterprise sector. During the year, the City Tax sector had many bright spots and outstanding results such as expanding the tax collection base; Promote support and create conditions for businesses and taxpayers; Digital transformation and data standardization ranked 2nd in the country, creating a foundation to strengthen tax management; prevent loss of revenue, especially in related transactions, anti-transfer pricing, and e-commerce; Through inspection and testing, revenue increased by nearly 700 billion VND...

Praising and recognizing the results, efforts, and high determination of the units, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung emphasized that in 2024, the total State budget revenue in the city will reach 118,255 billion VND, the highest revenue ever, of which domestic revenue is 50,068 billion VND, exceeding 5,068 billion VND compared to the estimate assigned by the City People's Council. 2025 is the last year of implementing the Resolution of the 16th City Party Congress and the 5-year City Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025. The city needs to make a breakthrough and speed up implementation, striving to complete the set goals.
