Production situation of some enterprises with important contributions to the growth of the entire city's industry in July and the first 7 months of 2019:
VinFast automobile and electric motorbike production complex: after officially coming into operation in June 2019, the factory's automobile product production output in July 2019 is expected to be higher than the previous month, focusing mainly on small-sized cars. Electric motorbike products in July 2019 are estimated to achieve better output after a period of slow consumption and high inventory.
GE Hai Phong Co., Ltd. branch with abundant orders continues to produce large volumes of wind turbine generators and electrical control system components. It is expected that production and consumption in July 2019 will decrease slightly compared to the previous month but still be nearly 1.5 times higher than the same period.
In the first 7 months of 2019, production output of three LG Group enterprises continued to be stable, of which LG Electronics Co., Ltd. since July 2019 has put 03 phone production lines and 01 circuit board line transferred from Korea to the factory in Hai Phong into official production; LG Display Hai Phong Co., Ltd. plans to add production of a new 77-inch OLED TV screen product line.
Cement production in 7 months of 2019 maintained a positive growth rate, up 7.43% over the same period, (7 months/2017 decreased by 2.52%; 7 months/2018 decreased by 8.64%), consumption also increased by 4.98% over the same period, this is the effort of cement production enterprises to promote domestic consumption and expand export markets.
Iron and steel production in the first 7 months of 2019 in the area is expected to increase by 4.22%, higher than the increase of 1.83% over the same period in 2018. The real estate market in Hai Phong is in a strong development stage, many infrastructure and construction projects are implemented in 2019, increased demand for iron and steel is also a condition for some steel enterprises to have new orders, helping production grow.
In addition, the city's industrial production in the first 7 months of 2019 also had the contribution of FDI enterprises such as Kyocera Co., Ltd., Rorze Robotech Co., Ltd., LS Vina Ltd., Reginal Garment Ltd. continuing to invest in expanding and increasing capacity... Traditional domestic industrial enterprises such as manufacturing products from plastic, producing fish sauce, producing garments actively expanding markets, finding partners, improving quality... have mainly contributed to industry growth such as: manufacturing office machines increased by 18.03%; Electric wire and cable production increased by 19.79%; Plastic product production increased by 7.98%; Seafood processing increased by 14.17%, labor-intensive industries such as garment increased by 15.4%…

Crop
At the end of harvesting the area of winter-spring crops, farmers have proactively prepared the land and prepared the fields to ensure timely crop production progress, avoiding the rainy and stormy season. Up to now, the whole city has basically completed the targets in the 2019 agricultural production plan. It is estimated that the area planted with annual crops in the 2019 crop in the whole city has been planted at 22,650 hectares, of which: rice reached 19,500 hectares. hectares, equal to 55.6% of the 2018 crop planting area; The area of cultivated vegetables and crops reached 3,150 hectares (corn plants reached 175.8 hectares; chili plants reached 220 hectares, vegetables of all kinds reached 2,050 hectares, beans of all kinds reached 40 hectares,...).
On seasonal crops, the level of harmful organisms is low and the plants grow and develop smoothly. In the coming time, it is necessary to focus on cultivating all planned areas within the best seasonal frame, promoting crop vegetable production, continuing the work of directing rat extermination, closely monitoring white-backed planthoppers (transmitters of black-striped dwarf disease) and other pests to protect production.

It is estimated that by mid-July, the pig population in the City area currently has 112.17 thousand pigs, a decrease of 73.05% over the same period last year. It is forecasted that the pig herd will continue to decrease in the near future because farmers cannot re-herd while the epidemic continues, in addition, some large-scale livestock households (farms) also temporarily stop re-herding or reduce the scale of farming compared to before.
Buffalo and cow husbandry is generally stable, no epidemics occur in buffalo and cow herds. It is estimated that in July 2019, the entire buffalo herd will reach 4,960 heads, down 4.87% over the same period last year; The herd of cows reached 12,429 cows, down 5.48% over the same period last year.
