(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of May 16, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Chuoi inspected the scene and chaired a meeting to hear reports on the progress of infrastructure construction, the status of electricity supply to secondary businesses, wastewater treatment, and investment attraction in An Duong Industrial Park. According to the report of Tham Viet Investment Joint Stock Company, to date, An Duong industrial park has completed construction of 54 thousand m2 of factory area, of which 7 standard factories have been completed, handed over and put into production. The occupancy rate for completed construction factories reached 100%. Currently, the industrial park has attracted 21 high-tech enterprises with the main industries being electronics production and modern manufacturing. It is expected that by 2022, when the entire industrial park is completed, it will attract 30 to 50 secondary enterprises with about 1 billion USD of investment capital, creating 30 thousand job opportunities for workers. After inspecting the site, listening to the report of Tham Viet Investment Joint Stock Company, and the opinions of delegates attending the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Chuan noted the Company's results of attracting investment in An Duong industrial park in recent times. The City creates favorable conditions for proposals to attract high-tech businesses and investors to invest in the Company's industrial park.
With the recommendations, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Chuoi requested the Company to urgently complete the application for a discharge permit and submit it to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for appraisal and licensing. If there are any problems, report to the City People's Committee for timely support and resolution. Regarding the issue of electricity supply, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Chuyen shared the difficulties that Tham Viet Investment Joint Stock Company and secondary enterprises encounter when the power source does not meet production needs. City leaders are actively directing to speed up the progress of site clearance to install 110kv power lines, striving to complete in July 2019.
Regarding the work of compensation for site clearance and resettlement for nearly 40 households located on an area of about 3 hectares on the main road of the industrial park, affecting traffic and the next construction phases, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Chuoi took responsibility for this delay and pledged to drastically direct departments and branches to speed up implementation.
