Strengthen work to ensure food safety of street food

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of June 7, the Department of Health held a conference to strengthen the work of ensuring food safety of street food. Hai Phong currently has about 7,772 street food service establishments. Most street food establishments are small retail establishments; However, there are also many establishments that provide large quantities of up to hundreds. Of these, 6,276 establishments have signed a commitment to ensure food safety (reaching 80.8%); 4,475 establishments will be inspected in 2023 (reaching 57.6%); 20 establishments were sanctioned (accounting for 0.4% of inspected establishments); 3,616 establishments have been trained in food safety knowledge (reaching 46.5%).
