Truong Son town is located about 10km southwest of Hai Phong city center and about 5km from An Lao district center, located on the administrative boundary of three communes: Thai Son, An Thang and An Tien. The northern boundary borders Lach Tray river, the east borders Kien An airport, the south borders hill 74, Thai Son commune, the west borders Phuon mountain, An Thang commune.
