(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of July 3, the City People's Committee held a regular session in June 2024 in an online format to evaluate the results of implementing socio-economic tasks in June and the first 6 months of 2024, and discuss task directions and solutions in the coming time. Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan commented that the city's socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year continued to maintain, stabilize and develop, increasing over the same period. However, the tasks set in the last months of the year still pose many challenges.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan requested departments, branches and localities to promote a sense of responsibility, proactively and drastically implement key tasks for targets that have not been closely followed and have not reached the yearly plan, especially on disbursement of public investment capital. Highly focus on implementing projects to arrange administrative units and adjust administrative boundaries; Implement zoning and detailed planning tasks; Deploy preliminary summary of Resolution 45 of the Politburo, Resolution 35 of the National Assembly, prepare tasks towards Party Congresses at all levels...
Regarding budget revenue, the City Tax Department and localities continue to review tax collection, collect tax debt, and speed up land auction progress, especially in some localities that still have low revenue results. Along with that, departments, branches and localities continue to focus heavily on site clearance for projects; Focus on security and order, ensure traffic safety; prevention of dengue fever; Focus on implementing 75 digital transformation tasks according to the yearly plan... In the first 6 months of the year, the city's economy continued to maintain growth momentum; GRDP growth ranked 5th in the country, ranked 5th in centrally run cities and ranked 2nd in the Red River Delta. Many indicators achieved expected growth, the 6-month industrial production index IIP was estimated to increase 15.24% over the same period; Total state budget revenue in the area is estimated at 60,812.8 billion VND, up 34.77% over the same period, equal to 62.15% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government and equal to 56.96% of the estimate assigned by the City People's Council; Export turnover is estimated at 17.214 billion USD, up 28.87% over the same period, equal to 51.26% of the year's plan; The output of goods through the port is estimated at 75.7 million tons, up 9.03% over the same period, equal to 39.84% of the year's plan...
