Year 2023: The work of promoting learning, promoting talent, and building a learning society in the city will achieve many important changes.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of January 12, the Hai Phong Association for Promoting Learning held a conference to summarize the work of promoting learning and talent, building a learning society in 2023,  implementing tasks in 2024 and signing an emulation contract between the Association for Promoting Education in districts.

Attending the Conference were comrades: Duong Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Bui Van Kiem, Director of the Department of Education and Training; Dr. Nguyen Kim Pha, Principal of To Hieu School of Politics. In 2023, the Learning Promotion Association at all levels will always make efforts and responsibilities to proactively advise the Party Committee and local authorities to promptly implement Decisions, Plans, as well as instructions from the Central Government and the city on building a learning society, thereby creating good changes in the movement, typically the Learning Promotion Association of Hong Bang, Ngo Quyen, Kien An and Cat Hai districts...

The Association has focused on training and propaganda for the team of learning promotion staff at all levels, typically with topics on: Education and Learning Promotion in the digital era; Method of using the Citizen Learning Model Evaluation Toolkit; Processes and procedures for implementing, evaluating and recognizing learning models... thereby contributing to raising awareness among party committees, authorities and people about promoting learning, promoting talent, and building a learning society in the city.

The movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society and promote lifelong learning" is spreading widely among the people. In addition, a number of traditional activities are still maintained such as: a series of activities during the Education Promotion Month, the Red Poinciana Scholarship Program, the "Advancing Children to School" Program at the city level and many activities aimed at taking care of the learning of pupils and students in localities... In 2023, the Association awarded Tet gifts to 458 students and awarded Red Poinciana Scholarships to 300 students, with a total budget of nearly 600 million VND.

In response to the movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promoting lifelong learning in the period 2021-2030", in 2024, the City Education Promotion Association continues to propagate and mobilize for the development of Education Promotion organizations and Education Promotion members in residential communities, agencies, armed forces units and businesses; strive to develop an average of 25 to 30 study promotion organizations in each district and increase the rate of study promotion members in the entire city to 30%. Promote forms of advocacy and create operating funds; manage and use funds for the right purposes, for the right subjects, and promptly encourage students and citizens in difficult circumstances to excel in their studies; praising advanced examples in the movement to promote learning, encourage talent, and build a learning society...

Signing an emulation contract.

On this occasion, the District Education Promotion Association agreed to sign an emulation contract in 2024, thereby striving for 85% of villages, hamlets and residential groups to have a Decision to establish a Education Promotion Association; 60% of state agencies, armed forces units, 100% of schools, 40% of enterprises have a Decision to establish a Study Promotion Board; Focus on propagating and mobilizing people in the area to participate in the movement to promote learning, encourage talent, and build a learning society; 100% of schools registered to build the "Learning Unit" model, of which 75% achieved the Learning Unit; 100% of study promotion organizations have study and talent promotion funds...

At the Conference, many groups and individuals with outstanding achievements received Emulation Flags, Certificates of Merit, and Certificates of Merit from the Central Vietnam Association for Promoting Education and the Hai Phong Association for Promoting Education.
