(Haiphong.gov.vn) - The Chairman of the City People's Committee has just agreed to the policy of choosing the theme of the Red Poinciana Festival - Hai Phong in 2024: "Hai Phong - Brightening the Heritage Region".

Accordingly, the Chairman assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to preside over and work with relevant agencies to develop a script for the art program "Hai Phong - Brightening the Heritage Area", along with a series of response activities, Festival organization plan, Decision to establish an Organizing Committee and a specialized group to report to the City People's Committee and submit to the Standing Party Committee before March 5, 2024. Along with that, develop a budget estimate and propose a plan to select a Festival organizer to ensure strict compliance with relevant legal regulations.
The theme of the Red Poinciana Festival - Hai Phong in 2024: "Hai Phong - Brightening the Heritage Region" is associated with the event on September 16, 2023, at the 45th Meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, officially registering Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago as an inter-provincial and city-based World Natural Heritage. This event has increased the inherent value of Cat Ba Islands; affirming outstanding results and breakthrough development contributing to fundamentally changing the appearance of the city in the coming time.
World natural heritage Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago is located in the area where tourism activities, seaport traffic, seafood fishing and other daily activities of the community living and doing business on the sea and islands take place.
