(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of December 30, at the City Convention Center, the XVI City People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, held the 22nd Session (thematic) to consider and decide on urgent issues of the city according to its authority.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Do Manh Hien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Pham Van Lap, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; Comrades, members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; leaders of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; City People's Council delegates and leaders of departments, branches and localities.

The 22nd session is the 9th session of the City People's Council in 2024. At the meeting, the City People's Council reviewed the Proposals of the City People's Committee, the verification reports of the City People's Council Committees, and the draft Resolution presented by the Secretary of the session. The City People's Council delegates raised their sense of responsibility, carefully researched the issues, voted and unanimously approved 8 important and urgent resolutions, including:
1. List of land plots for bidding on investment projects using land in Hai Phong city in the period of 2025 - 2026.
2. Approved the 5-year land use plan (2021 - 2025) of Hai Phong city.
3. Through projects and works that are expected to require land recovery, projects that are expected to change the use purpose of rice cultivation land, protective forest land, special-use forest land, and production forest land in the city.
4. Regulations on authority to decide on approval of tasks and cost estimates for procurement of assets and equipment; Decentralize the authority to decide on approving tasks and funding for renovation, upgrading, expansion, and new construction of work items in projects that have been invested in construction.
5. Project to improve organization and operations; Plan to supplement charter capital until 2030 of Hai Phong City Farmers Support Fund.
6. Arrange and merge residential groups in Duong Kinh district.
7. Investment policy The investment project to build facilities of To Hieu Political School meets standards.
8. Adjustment of investment policy Investment project to build a new dyke line to replace the Huu Lach Tray dyke line, section from Km14+350 to Km16+100, An Lao district.

In closing remarks at the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap requested: The City People's Committee urgently directs the development and implementation of a Plan to organize the implementation of Resolutions of the City People's Council to ensure timeliness, efficiency, savings, and compliance with regulations. The People's Committee, City Departments, branches, and localities focus on well implementing the People's Council's Resolutions on policy mechanisms for policy families, people with meritorious services, and people facing difficulties in life; Carefully prepare conditions to serve the People to celebrate the New Year 2025 and the At Ty Lunar New Year; Ensuring that everyone and every home can enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet warmly, safely, and happily. The Chairman of the City People's Council requested the Standing Committee of the City People's Council, Committees, Delegate Groups and delegates of the City People's Council to gatherg Closely monitor the implementation process to ensure serious, complete and effective implementation of the Resolutions issued by the City People's Council.
