(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of February 4, the Working Group of the Economic Committee - National Assembly (term XV) led by Deputy Chairman of the Economic Committee Nguyen Minh Son conducted a field survey of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project at the Lach Huyen Port railway station location.

The Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway has a total length of the main line from Lao Cai Station to Lach Huyen Station of more than 388km, 36 stations; in which the section passing through Hai Phong city includes: the main line is more than 46 km long and 02 branch lines from Hai Phong South Station - Nam Do Son Station; Nam Dinh Vu Station - Dinh Vu Station is 20.5km long. Design speed of the main route section is 160 km/h; Branch route section 80km/h. According to the design, the section in Hai Phong city has 06 stations, including: Hai Phong South Station (mixed station, train station); Tan Vien Station and Nam Dinh Vu Station (technical station); Nam Dinh Vu Stations; Lach Huyen port station, Nam Do Son station, Dinh Vu station (mixed station, port front).
Recently, the city has coordinated with the Ministry of Transport to prepare a Pre-Feasibility Study Report for the Project. At the survey, the city requested the National Assembly's Economic Committee and the Ministry of Transport to research and consider investing in the line from Hai Phong South Station to Nam Do Son Station and the Nam Do Son Station project to be implemented in phase 1, completed before 2030; Research on technical solutions and current land use status so that the route runs parallel and closely follows the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway and Tan Vu - Lach Huyen motorway according to the orientation of the Hai Phong City General Plan to 2040, with a vision to 2050, ensuring to minimize the land fund intervening between the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line and the above mentioned routes, in order toUse land economically, effectively and without overlap within the boundaries of ongoing projects. Research and have specific plans to handle road intersections (existing roads, planned roads) to ensure traffic safety and convenient connection of residential areas, industrial parks and projects along the route, in accordance with the local current situation and the general planning orientation of the city. Along with that, develop plans and have specific solutions to ensure traffic safety, environmental sanitation, dust and noise passing through residential areas, ensuring life. According to the plan, along with the actual survey at the Lach Huyen Port Station location, the Working Group will survey at Yen Vien Station (Hanoi), the new Lao Cai Station and work with relevant provinces/cities.in Lao Cai province./.
