Accordingly, activities to celebrate major holidays in April and May and respond to the 2026 Red Poinciana Festival will take place from the end of March to the end of May 2026, peaking in 07 days, from May 8 - 14, 2026.
The highlight of this period is the opening program of the Red Poinciana Festival - Hai Phong 2026, commemorating the 71st anniversary of Hai Phong's Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2026) with the theme "Hai Phong - Convergence - Shine" which will take place from 8:00 pm on May 8, 2026 (Friday). The program was held at the Political-Administrative Center square (North Cam River Urban Area, Thuy Nguyen Ward). Within the framework of the program, the city will hold a fireworks display from 9:20 p.m. - 9:32 p.m.
The opening program was broadcast live on Vietnam Television channel VTV; Hai Phong Newspaper and Radio and Television broadcast on a number of channels of other provinces and cities. The city will arrange sound, lighting and 02 LED screens to broadcast the festival program live to serve the people on Do Muoi street.
On this occasion, the city organized the groundbreaking of 12 works and projects and inaugurated 03 key works and projects. Departments, branches, localities, units, and businesses organized 64 cultural, arts, and sports activities in response.
