(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of November 25, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city held a conference to collect opinions on the draft Notice of Front work participating in government building in 2024, key tasks in 2025, presented at the regular year-end meeting of the City People's Council, term XVI (term 2021 - 2026). According to the report, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city contributed comments to a number of Law projects passed by the National Assembly and gave opinions at the 7th and 8th sessions of the 15th National Assembly; The Fatherland Front, member organizations at all levels and the Law Dissemination and Education Coordination Council at the same level organized 612 conferences to propagate and disseminate laws to 52,123 people, focusing on disseminating new documents and policies passed in 2023 and 2024 to officials and people and practical legal contents for people, businesses, social issues of concern, and needing to orient public opinion.
The Standing Committee of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has chaired and coordinated with socio-political organizations to build and submit to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for promulgation a social monitoring and criticism program in 2024.
To date, 08 monitoring contents have been organized and direct monitoring teams have been established in 26 localities, agencies and units. Organize social criticism on 05 contents, including 1 draft Project and 04 draft legal documents of the People's Council and City People's Committee.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city guides the Fatherland Front at all levels to proactively coordinate well with Party agencies, authorities, and organizations at the same level to carefully prepare content for meetings and dialogues. Coordinated to organize 347 dialogues between heads of party committees and authorities with the People, thematic dialogues, and extraordinary dialogues to resolve issues related to land management, compensation and site clearance, and pressing issues among the People.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels received 546 citizens; received 163 petitions, complaints and denunciations; 56 complaints have been forwarded to competent authorities for resolution according to regulations.
The Fatherland Front at all levels presides and coordinates to organize "mutual solidarity" activities, successfully implementing the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind" contributing to the effective implementation of the Party and State's guidelines and policies on multidimensional and sustainable poverty reduction.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year Giap Thin, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations coordinated to organize Tet gift visits with a total of 108,862 gifts worth over VND 104.19 billion; Of which, the Fatherland Front - Fund Campaign Committee "For the Poor" at all levels awarded 13,593 gifts worth over 6.4 billion VND. At the same time, allocating 200 Tet gifts (worth 1.2 million VND/gift) from the "For the Poor" Fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to beneficiaries. In 2024, from the city's "For the Poor" Fund, 1.2 billion VND will be deducted to support the construction of 20 Great Solidarity houses for poor households, 75 million VND will be deducted to support Agent Orange victims in difficult circumstances, and 250 million VND will be deducted to support the construction of 05 Great Solidarity houses for poor households in Son La province.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - the City Relief Campaign Committee has proactively organized activities to ensure timeliness. In order to contribute to overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 (Yagi), businesses, organizations and individuals have mobilized support with a total amount of over 100.3 billion VND, the highest ever. Hai Phong is one of the localities that allocates the earliest and highest funding to help disadvantaged people promptly overcome the storm. To date, 2 installments of 79.3 billion VND have been allocated, focusing on poor households; near-poor households; households in difficult circumstances are unable to fix it themselves (building 392 new houses with support of 100 million VND/house, repairing 505 houses with support of 20 million VND/house).

Coordinate and participate in well-organizing dialogues between heads of party committees and authorities at all levels and the People, promptly resolving the People's opinions and recommendations.
Mobilize the People to promote socio-economic development; well implement the city's 2025 theme, emulation movements, central and city campaigns, high consensus in relocation, site clearance to implement projects; Actively perform tasks, ensure social security, environmental protection, ensure security and order, fire prevention and fighting, and traffic safety.
