(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of May 23, the City Business Sector Veterans Association held a Congress to summarize the emulation movement for exemplary Veterans, period 2019 - 2024; directions, goals, content, and measures for the period 2024 - 2029. In the period 2019 - 2024, the "Exemplary Veterans" emulation movement of the City Business Sector Veterans Association has developed comprehensively, continuously, widely and sustainably. Most prominent is maintaining and promoting the traditional nature of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers", actively participating in building and protecting the Party and government, maintaining political security at the grassroots and in the area where the enterprise is located. The Block Veterans Association has promoted the movement "Veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business", mobilized members and businesses to contribute and support the construction of 6 "Comradeship Gratitude" houses for members worth more than 250 million VND, 1 house for veterans in difficult circumstances in Ha Giang province worth over 100 million VND; coordinate to mobilize businesses to support funding to build 9 "Great Solidarity" houses with a total value of over 450 million VND to give to policy families and families in difficult housing situations in the city; donated more than 1,650 gifts worth nearly 890 million VND and contributed hundreds of millions of VND to the gratitude fund, prevention of natural disasters and epidemics...
