(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of August 6, the Urban Committee of the City People's Council specifically supervised the implementation of Resolution No. 07/NQ-HDND dated April 12, 2024 of the City People's Council on the investment policy of the Do Muoi Street construction investment project extending to the VSIP trunk road and urban development in the surrounding area at the Department of Transport. The investment project to build Do Muoi street extending to the VSIP trunk road and developing urban areas in the vicinity has a construction investment scale with a total length of 1,582m, the road level is the main road in the area, a design speed of 60km/h and creates a land fund for urban development in the surrounding area with a scale of 44,153 hectares in Thuy Nguyen district. Total project investment is 1,066 billion VND, from the city budget. Implementation time is from 2022 to 2024.
The project was implemented to promote the investment efficiency of the built Do Muoi route, improve traffic capacity, and connect the city center with Thuy Nguyen district. Carrying out land auctions, embellishment, and synchronous urban development of infrastructure throughout the North Cam River area, contributing to gradually completing the new City Center infrastructure system according to planning orientation, while creating new space on both sides of the road for urban development. Create a premise for socio-economic development, security and defense in the region.

To date, the project has been granted 27,765 million VND, disbursed 7,789,711 million VND (site clearance 3,679,717 million VND; construction 2,719,994 million VND; consulting costs and other costs are 1,390 million VND).

At the meeting, the Department of Transport requested the City People's Committee to consider and direct relevant agencies and units to carry out procedures for allocating land within the construction scope of Do Muoi street extending to the VSIP trunk road to the Department to pay money to protect and develop rice land according to regulations; Thuy Nguyen District People's Committee, VSIP Hai Phong Co., Ltd. handed over the site for construction of the intersection between Do Muoi Street and VSIP Street to the investor to begin construction.
