(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of July 5, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh inspected the progress of the Hoa River Bridge Construction Project. The investment project to build a permanent bridge across the Hoa River connecting Vinh Bao district, Hai Phong city and Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province aims to improve service capacity, ensure traffic safety, gradually complete the traffic network connecting urban and rural areas in the southern region of Hai Phong city and the coastal area of Thai Binh province, creating an inter-provincial traffic connection system, contributing to reducing traffic flow through Highway 10.
According to the report of the Management Board of Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project, up to this point the total construction value of the project is estimated at 25.41 billion VND (18.3% of the contract). On the banks of Vinh Bao, the contractor has focused on mobilizing materials, equipment and human resources to organize construction; Construction of the roadbed behind the abutment, 53% of soil cement piles completed; Completed 9/9 bored piles D1200 of abutment M0, completed pedestal and pier body; Pillars T2 and T3 on the river have completed 6/6 bored piles D1200..., the construction progress is basically guaranteed as required.
However, the progress of site clearance work on the Thai Thuy bank (Thai Binh province) is 20 days behind schedule, affecting the construction progress of items on the project's critical path. According to the Management Board, if by July 15, 2019, Thai Thuy district has not handed over the site to the construction contractor, completing the project in December 2019 will be extremely difficult.
Concluding remarks at the project site, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh acknowledged and praised the Management Board and contractors for seriously and urgently implementing the project. The Vice Chairman requested the city's authorities to coordinate closely with relevant authorities and localities of Thai Binh province to jointly resolve procedural problems during the implementation process. The Standing Vice Chairman also requested relevant localities to support and create all conditions for the Management Board and contractors to implement project construction to ensure progress and quality; Regarding Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province, it is necessary to focus on site clearance work and soon hand over to the contractor to ensure construction progress on the Thai Binh side.
