(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of July 16, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh and representatives of leaders of departments, branches, localities and relevant units on the ground inspected the progress of the investment project to build a road connecting Nam Cau Binh intersection to the intersection of Ton Duc Thang street - Mang water street - National Highway 5.
According to the report of the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the investment project to build a road connecting the Nam Cau Binh intersection to the intersection of Ton Duc Thang - Mang Nuoc - National Highway 5 has a length of more than 1,173m according to the standard of secondary urban main streets, with a total project investment of more than 770 billion VND.
Up to now, the project has completed an inventory of site clearance work for agricultural land areas of 57 households and 1 organization, the People's Committee of An Dong commune; 47 residential land households have been reviewed, and it is expected that by July 30, 2020, compensation and support plans will be publicly announced. For the land area of 6 organizations, the District People's Committee has currently assigned the District Construction Investment Project Management Board to contact consulting units to sign contracts to serve the investigation, survey, and estimation of compensation value.
Through field inspection and listening to reports from the Project Management Board along with sectors and localities, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh stated that the investment project to build a road connecting the intersection of Nam Cau Binh to the intersection of Ton Duc Thang street - Mang Nuoc street - National Highway 5 is a key project, creating favorable conditions for connecting traffic in the inner city with National Highway 5. National Highway 10 will contribute to creating momentum for the city's socio-economic development. The Permanent Vice Chairman noted that basically up to this point, the project progress is being well controlled and progress is guaranteed, and also appreciated the positive efforts of An Duong district in mobilizing households to support and hand over clean land for the project.
The Permanent Vice Chairman requested the Project Management Board and contractors to actively coordinate with the locality, carry out construction immediately after receiving the handover site, have a reasonable construction plan, and ensure project quality right from the early stages. Request An Duong district to continue to drastically direct communes where the project passes through to speed up site clearance progress, satisfactorily resolve policies and regimes for people in accordance with the law so that people can quickly relocate and hand over the site for project construction, determined not to let the situation of works waiting for site occur, the Permanent Vice Chairman affirmed.
