Recommend that households agree to support the city's policy of land recovery to implement the Social Housing Project at Lac Vien Warehouse 3

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Regarding petitions from households regarding land acquisition to implement the Social Housing Project at 3 Lac Vien Warehouse in May Chai Ward, Ngo Quyen District. The People's Committee of Ngo Quyen district has just said that since October 2022, Ngo Quyen district has actively implemented the order and procedures for land recovery for the Project, approved compensation, support and resettlement plans to ensure compliance with the law.

Up to now, the Project has received great support from officials, Party members and People as well as organizations and businesses with 90/98 households and 07/07 organizations handing over the site for the Investor to implement the Project. For the remaining 08 households in May Chai ward, the District People's Committee has directed the entire political system from district to ward to continue to propagate and mobilize so that households support the city's policy of land recovery, be fully and properly aware of the State's land recovery regimes and policies, and minimize cases of forced recovery.

Ngo Quyen District People's Committee requests that the People, especially households who have not yet agreed to support the city's policy, be fully aware of the compensation, support, and resettlement policy when land is recovered. In addition, the District People's Committee also requested the press agencies to coordinate in properly and objectively conveying and orienting the purpose and meaning of the Project as well as legal regulations in land acquisition, so that the policy of building social housing areas to serve the legitimate needs of thousands of households will soon become a reality.

The social housing project at Lac Vien Warehouse 3 is an important project to implement the Resolution of the 16th City Party Congress, Resolution No. 04/NQ-HDND dated April 12, 2022 of the City People's Council on the Project to build social housing combined with housing solutions for households living in old apartments in the city; Investing in the construction of social housing areas for sale and rent to realize the city's social housing development goals.

The project implements land acquisition for 16.91 hectares, affecting 07 organizations and 98 households and individuals with a construction scale of 10 15-storey apartment blocks, a total of about 4,456 social housing apartments and about 163 7-storey commercial apartments and an infrastructure system synchronous with neighboring residential areas. The Project's objective is to develop housing area in Ngo Quyen district, meet the housing needs of people, especially people in old apartment buildings in Ngo Quyen and Hong Bang districts and ensure the environment to create landscapes for urban residents; improve land use efficiency, save urban land funds and provide centralized services to serve people's lives.
