Attending were comrades: Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Do Manh Hien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee; Bui Duc Quang, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council and leaders of departments, branches and units. Attending the Congress were 179 official delegates representing more than 2,600 party members from 42 branches and grassroots party committees throughout the district Party Committee.
The Congress took place over 2 days from August 4 - 5, 2020 with the theme: "Strengthening solidarity, promoting democracy, maintaining discipline, building a clean and strong Party Committee; promoting investment attraction, concentrating all resources for socio-economic development; building Duong Kinh district into a civilized and modern urban area", the Congress was tasked with evaluating the implementation of the District Party Resolution. Trade and services have developed rapidly and diversely, meeting the needs of the people. Budget revenue in the area increased. The management and development of urban areas and environmental resources are focused and directed drastically and have positive changes; Site clearance work is directed drastically, meeting the needs of projects in the area. Social security is guaranteed, poverty reduction and job creation for workers are taken care of, the number of poor households has decreased sharply, and the people's material and spiritual lives continue to improve.
