Implemented from 2016 - 2020, the project will contribute to saving 1.86 million tons of oil equivalent annually and reduce greenhouse emissions.
The project list "Energy saving for Vietnamese Industry" borrowed from the World Bank (WB) has just been approved by the Prime Minister.
The project will save about 1.86 million tons of oil equivalent (TOE) annually and the expected annual reduction in greenhouse emissions (CO2) is 9.67 million tons.
There are about 50 industrial enterprises directly benefiting from the Project; 60 energy saving and energy efficiency projects developed; Build a national energy saving database for industry.
The project will be implemented from 2016 - 2020 with a total capital of 314 million USD, of which WB loan capital is 201.7 million USD, counterpart capital is 112.3 million USD.
